Admissions
NET Academies Trust ensures that admissions arrangements for all of its primary schools are fair, clear and transparent, and fully compliant with the School Admissions Code and relevant legislation.
Each primary school within NET Academies Trust has its own published admissions arrangements, which are determined annually. These arrangements set out how places are allocated, including the published admission number (PAN), oversubscription criteria, and arrangements for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
The Trust oversees admissions arrangements to ensure that:
-
Admissions policies comply with the School Admissions Code
-
Arrangements are published annually on each school’s website
-
Clear information is provided on how to apply for a place
-
Appeals arrangements are lawful and accessible
Applying for a Primary School Place
Applications for Reception places must be made through the local authority in which the child lives, in line with the local authority’s coordinated admissions scheme.
Mid-Year Admissions
A parent can apply for a place for their child at any school, at any time. If this is not during the normal admissions round, this is called a mid-year admission.
Your child is not guaranteed a place at your preferred school. You should not remove your child from their existing school before you have received another offer.
NET Academies Trust manages mid-year admissions to the Academy and we recommend that you contact the schools you are interested in before making a decision to move house or submit an application.
If you would like to apply for a place, please complete the Application form and send to the relevant school. Contact details and guidance notes are included with the form.
Admissions Policies and Appeals
Each school’s admissions webpage includes:
-
The current admissions policy
-
Details of how to apply for a place
-
Oversubscription criteria
-
Information on the right of appeal and how to submit an appeal
-
Contact details for admissions enquiries
