To prepare the Year 4 children for next year’s residential trip and to celebrate a wonderful summer term so far, the Year 4 cohort at Henry Hinde Junior were welcomed to spend the night in the school with their friends and teachers! Children were collected from school as normal on Friday 9th June. When they got home they changed into their pyjamas, so that all they needed to bring back to school was their toothbrush, toothpaste, sleeping bag, suitable change of clothes for the morning, and of course themselves!
Children arrived back at school on Friday evening in their pyjamas, where they played lots of great games outside as the sun went down. They then set up their own sleeping areas and stayed in these to watch a film and eat popcorn together. All of this was funded by the PTFA as Year 4 won the Christmas Fair Challenge. After a couple of gentle reminders, everyone was fast asleep by midnight! The children were then collected from school at 8:30 on Saturday morning, happily released by their weary eyed teachers!
